Veterans Day Discounts: Supporting Those Who Served
Barbara Burgess is our CSN Libraries Administrative Assistant and a veteran of the US Air Force. Each year, she makes this helpful guide available inside the libraries, but this year we are providing it here for those who can't make it to campus.
Many of our CSN students, employees and community members serve this country through the military or are veterans who formerly served. In honor of Veterans Day 2020, CSN Libraries is sharing an easy-to-use, alphabetical list of businesses where veterans receive a discount or other bonus as a thank you for their service.
Note: proof of military service is required. Do not forget to bring your military ID or DD Form 214. Participating locations only.

Nike offers a 10% discount—online and in stores—to all active, reservist, veteran, and retired US military personnel, and to the spouses and dependents of active personnel. Click below to get started.

Old Navy offers a military discount for purchases made in stores. The discount is for 10% off and cannot be combined with any other discounts or offers. Discount is valid for all active, retired and reserve US Military Personnel and family members. Customer must present a valid military ID at time of purchase. Not valid at Oldnavy.com. O’Reilly Auto Parts
All O'Reilly Auto Parts stores provide a 10% discount off retail price for most items, some exceptions are motor oil, antifreeze, sale items and special orders. The discount is extended to in-store purchases for active duty and reserve members of the military, retired service members, and veterans.
Pottery Barn

Every day of the week, active and retired military customers can receive a 10% discount at their local Pep Boys store.

Enjoy the Heroes Discount, which offers 10% off checks for all service members, veterans and first responders on November 11 when you show a valid ID.
Bubba Gump Shrimp
On Veterans Day, active duty military, veterans and families with valid ID can get 20 percent off of food and retail shop goodies at Bubba Gump Shrimp.
Buffalo Wild Wings
Veterans and active duty military get a free order of small boneless or traditional wings, and a side of fries. Dine-in or take-out.
California Pizza Kitchen
On Veterans Day, all veterans or active duty military personnel will be able to select a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu including pizza, salads and pasta.
Chili’s
Veterans and active duty military can get a free entree from Chili’s on Veterans Day 2020 from a special menu.
Cracker Barrel
Cracker Barrel honors Military Family Appreciation Month throughout November with several in-store specials for military veterans, active duty military and families with valid ID in its partnership with Operation Homefront.
Denny’s
During Military Family Appreciation Month Cracker Barrel will offer in-store specials on Veterans Day for military veterans and promotions throughout November to support military families in partnership with Operation Homefront. On 11/11, veterans can receive a free slice of Double Fudge Coca-Cola Cake with their meal.
Dunkin’ Donuts
Dunkin' Donuts is giving away free donuts to active duty military and veterans. This free Veterans Day donut is limited to one per customer while supplies last, but no purchase is required.
Famous Dave’s
The Veterans Day free meal at Famous Dave's is a Georgia chopped pork sandwich plus one side. This offer is valid all day on Wednesday, November 11, at participating Famous Dave's locations.
Farmer Boys
If you are a veteran or active military member, stop by a Farmer Boys on Veterans Day for a free Big Cheese cheeseburger.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
Veterans and active-duty military who visit a Freddy’s on November 11 can get a free combo meal card good through November 30.
Golden Corral
Golden Corralwill hand out free meal and beverage cards to all active duty and veterans from Nov. 1-30. The card will be valid for use once from Nov. 1, 2020 through May 31. 2021 for lunch or dinner, Monday through Thursday.

Past and present military get a complimentary entree on Veteran’s day. Grub provides an ongoing year round discount for veterans by offering a 10% percent off any purchase with a valid military I.D. or uniform.

Station Casinos
In recognition of Veterans Day, Station Casinos says thank you to the individuals who served in the United States Armed Forces. Station Casinos is offering a free smorgasbord dinner to all dynamic obligation military and veterans with a legitimate Station Casinos military Boarding Pass. Accessible on Nov. 12, simply swipe military Boarding Pass card at any stand to get a voucher for a free breakfast, lunch or supper buffet.

This year for Veterans Day, all vets get their first 6 oz of frozen yogurt absolutely free.

DISCOVERY Children's Museum is NOW OPEN. Throughout the month of November, we will be waiving admission fees for veterans and active duty military members. In addition, their dependents will receive $5 admission to the museum. Just show a valid military ID when you check in at our front desk.
Goodyear Auto Service and Just Tire
From November 8-16, Goodyear Auto Service and Just Tire locations will offer active and retired military members free car care checks and free tire installation. More information on how to book an appointment can be found at GoodyearAutoService.com/military and JustTires.com/military.
Great Clips Free Haircut
Visit a U.S. Great Clips salon on Nov. 11 and receive either a free haircut that day or the free haircut card to use at a later date. Haircuts are redeemable until Dec. 11.

RTC
The RTC is offering free rides to active military service members and veterans on Wednesday, November 11.
Target
Target is offering all U.S. active-duty military personnel, Veterans and their families a 10 percent discount off the guest’s full basket. To receive the offer, guests must first demonstrate eligibility by registering at www.target.com/circle/military. After eligibility has been verified, an exclusive, one-time use 10% Target Circle offer will be available for the guest to use in-store or online.
U.S. National Park Service Free Veterans Day Admission
U.S. National Park Service is waiving fees at most of its day-use recreation sites on Veterans Day for everyone. There are five free entrance days throughout the year. Visit nps.gov for more information.
