Welcome Back! From the CSN Library Director

Welcome students, staff, and faculty to the 2022-2023 academic year! The CSN Libraries staff have spent the summer recharging and making several improvements in preparation for another great year. We have had several new individuals join the team, including two new librarians and multiple library assistants; the entire Charleston library collection was shifted by the hard- working staff, which has allowed us to remove several of the stacks in preparation for more student- and studying-friendly furniture. We also recently held our annual staff day which brought all the CSN Libraries staff together for training and professional development, so we are better prepared to serve all of you.

This summer has also been a time of transition. I would like to thank Emily King for serving as the Interim Director of CSN Libraries over the last two years. Under her leadership the Libraries were able to not only continue to offer superb service to our students throughout the pandemic, but also able to hire multiple new librarians and staff, remodel the furniture at the North Las Vegas Library, and open the new Henderson Library, in addition to many other accomplishments. Thank you, Emily!
