As the year winds down, maybe you find yourself thinking about what career to pursue or what career to start next. This month’s shared book displays feature books to help you consider career pathways, excel at the career you’re in, or point you in the right direction if you’re thinking of changing course.
In addition to these books and e-books, the CSN Libraries also have access to research databases for information specific to a variety of professions. There’s ProQuest Career and Technical Education which contains career and vocational information, as well as Vocational & Career Collection which collects articles from trade and industry related publications. New to searching in a database? You’re always welcome to Ask a Librarian for help.
Speaking of careers, remember that students have a valuable resource in CSN’S Career Services, and there is even the publicly available Occupational Outlook Handbook from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Add both of these resources to your “careers toolkit” and you’ll certainly be on your way to a stellar next phase!
