Project Gutenberg is an online resource providing access to over 70,000 free public domain eBooks. Titles include countless literary classics from authors such as William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, and Franz Kafka to name a few. Beyond Literature, the resource offers titles from subjects such as Crime, Fine Art, and Psychology. Students of any discipline will find something of interest on this website.

Project Gutenberg does not require a proprietary app to use their eBooks and in fact offers downloads in a variety of file types so users can use their preferred reading app on the device of their choice whether it be a phone, tablet, or a PC. This also means that, once downloaded, users can access the eBooks without an internet connection.

While Project Gutenberg could be of use to any of our students it should especially be a go-to resource for anyone taking Literature classes due to its extensive collection of classic Literature.
