Hello artists, graphic designers, and creatives! We're running a Bookmark Design Contest this semester as we prepare to refresh our library bookmarks. These bookmarks will be distributed in the libraries during study week and at future CSN Libraries outreach events!
If you feel like you can capture the theme of the library as a study space on a 2-inch by 7.25-inch card, then this is the contest for you. You have from now until October 29, 2026 to submit your designs.
In addition to having your artwork featured on our library bookmarks, the winner will also receive a library tote full of library swag, $25 Starbucks gift card, and a claim to fame on our social media channels!
Here are the contest entry details:
- You must be a CSN student to win.
- Submissions can be hand-drawn or digital designs and must be original artwork only—NO generative-AI allowed.
- In accordance with the CSN Student Code of Conduct, inappropriate images/languages cannot be considered.
- You can submit up to 2 design entries total.
Here is how you can submit an entry:
- For hand-drawn design submissions, please pick up a physical entry form located in a campus library. Fill out the form details: name, phone number, and email address. Sign the acknowledgement statement, then provide your hand-drawn design in the blank box on the form.
- For digital design submissions, please fill out a digital entry form which can be found at: bit.ly/fall26bookmark. Files should be JPG, PNG, or PDF, at least 2MB but no more than 20MB, and meet the 2-inch by 7.25-inch specifications (any excess will be cropped).
Judging will be conducted by library employees and based on artistic quality and adherence to the theme of libraries as a place of study. All submissions received by October 29, 2026 will be considered, and contest notifications will be sent by November 13, 2026.
