CSN Libraries invites students, staff, and faculty to celebrate Black History Month by checking out items in its print and electronic collections. Several highlights are listed below, plus you can also visit the campus libraries to see more offerings. If you are visiting any of the three CSN Libraries, you may have noticed that we have many rows of books. Libraries assign call numbers to each book to help you find where they are located on the shelf. The call number is located on the spine of each book, in order alphabetically and then numerically: If you are looking up the name of a book using the CSN Libraries Website, you will find the call number located after the library location: Call numbers are assigned according to the Library of Congress Classification System. If you still have a DVD player tucked away in a closet, now is the time to break it out. Visit CSN Libraries to check out the DVD collection which includes feature films and documentaries. Carrieann is based at the North Las Vegas Campus and will be working closely with CSN faculty, staff, and students to teach important research skills. 1. You can print! You can print from our computers in the library for only 5 cents per black-and-white page and 40 cents per color page. All you have to do is click on the PrintWise application on your computer’s desktop and select “Jobs Pending Release.” From here, you will be able to release any print jobs that you have sent to the printer!
